Lautoka Arya Samaj Primary School was established in 1980 under the auspices of Lautoka Arya Samaj and the construction of the school provided the needed identity of the Sabha in the Sugar City.

As part of the educational expansion works of the Sabha this school became a reality with the development of the Drasa-Vitogo Housing Estate by Housing Authority from which the land was acquired. The first Head Teacher of the school was Mrs. Bimla Gaya Prasad. LASPS is a medium mainstream multiracial urban school.
