Primary School,
Calia, Navua is the newest primary school established by APS In 2003 and
dedicated to the memory of Late Mr. J N Jokhan ‘Arya Ratna’ for his diligent
service to the Sabha as its General Treasurer for 32 years.
The new school caters
for the ever-increasing student numbers in Navua due to displaced farmers
settling in and around Navua as well as has provided an identity to the Sabha in
this economically depressed rural locality.
The school opened mid
second term of a 4 term year 2003 with two staff members one of who was Mr.
Karuna Chetty under whose guidance the school numbers continued to grow.
