Arya Kanya Pathshala, Yalalevu, Ba was established in 1938 under the auspices of Ba Arya Samaj to give impetus to Sabha’s focus on the education of girls and Pt. Ami Chandra Vidyalankar became the first Head Teacher upon transfer from Suva. Although registered as a girls’ school, AKP has become coeducational and is a mainstream multiracial urban school.
